This list of Prisoner of War Camps, Italian Service Unit Camps, and Prisoner of War Hospitals is still being developed with new locations added as we work through the weekly reports located on NARA microfilm #66-538 (population lists June 1942-June 1946).

*Kennedy Army Hospital, Memphis, Shelby County, TN (later known as the Kennedy VA Administration. Was closed in 1967) *Lawrenceburg, Lawrence County, TN (branch camp under Forrest, TN)
*McKeller Field, Jackson, Madison County, TN (branch camp under Forrest, TN)
*Memphis ASF Depot, Memphis, Shelby County, TN (base camp)
*P.W. General Hospital #2, Camp Forrest, Coffee and Franklin Counties, TN
*Pigeon Forge, Sevier County, TN (restricted listing, interrogation center)
*Stark General Hospital, Nashville, Davidson County, TN
*Tellico Plains, Monroe County, TN (branch camp under Forrest, TN)
*Thayer General Hospital, Nashville, Davidson County, TN (branch camp under Forrest, TN)
*Tyson (Camp), Routon, Henry County, TN (base camp)

Camp Forrest has branch camps in AL and TN.

Enemy alien internment camps:
Camp Forrest, Tullahoma, Coffee and Franklin Counties, TN (German civilian aliens)

Cemeteries:
Chattanooga National Cemetery, Chattanooga, Hamilton County, TN (There is a section of German WW I POWs buried here as well as WW II. 23 German WW I transferred here from Hot Springs, AR.)
Crossville, Cumberland County, TN (94 German burials transferred to Chattanooga Nat'l Cem. in TN before February 1947)

The Chattanooga National Cemetery contains POWs who died in TN and NC.
