This list of Prisoner of War Camps, Italian Service Unit Camps, and Prisoner of War Hospitals is still being developed with new locations added as we work through the weekly reports located on NARA microfilm #66-538 (population lists June 1942-June 1946).

*Clarinda (Camp), Clarinda, Page County, IA (base camp) (Japanese POWs)
*Clinton, Clinton County, IA (branch camp under Algona, IA)
*Eldora, Hardin County, IA (branch camp under Algona, IA)
*Muscatine, Muscatine County, IA (branch camp under Algona, IA) POWs worked at the Heinz catsup factory and lived at the fish hatchery
*Onawa, Monona County, IA (branch camp under Algona, IA)
*Schick General Hospital, Clinton, Clinton County, IA (branch camp under Weingarten, MO)
*Storm Lake, Buena Vista County, IA (branch camp under Algona, IA)
*Shenandoah, Fremont and Page Counties, IA (branch camp under Algona, IA)
